New Volunteer Open House
May 17 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
All aboard! The world’s first and largest electric railway museum is looking for new volunteers to join our ranks. Join Seashore Trolley Museum on Saturday, May 17 from 2PM-4PM for a New Volunteer Open House to learn more about the seasonal and year-round volunteer opportunities available during our 2025 season and year-round.
In anticipation of the start of their trolley operations during their 86th season, the museum now seeks new volunteer trolley conductors and operators from the community for the museum’s electric heritage railway.
The museum’s volunteer needs include:
- Restoring and maintaining trolleys and other transit vehicles in the museum’s year-round Restoration Shop
- Operating and conducting on our trolleys as they operate for guests on our heritage railway
- Model railroad exhibit greeters and tour guides, operators, landscape builders, locomotive repairers, and more.
- Supporting special events like Christmas Prelude, Dino Trolley, and Pumpkin Patch Trolley
- Maintaining and building track and overhead wire infrastructure on the museum’s railroad
- Taking care of the facilities and grounds across campus
- Helping out in the library & archives
- Serving on planning committees
- Operating the museum’s pump car for guests to enjoy
- And more!
