Ride the Streetcar to the Pumpkin Patch

Bring the family to the Seashore Trolley Museum and bring yourself into another time as you recreate the adventure experienced by your family generations ago. At the turn of the century, it wasn't uncommon for the family to hop aboa rd a streetcar and take a ride out of the city to the local amusement park or other local destination.

Disembark the streetcar at the Pumpkin Patch and enjoy nature as you explore, looking for the perfect pumpkin to take home. Found one? We offer supplies for you to decorate your pumpkin (all included with the admission fee).

Take your work of art and "check in" with our volunteers. Like mailing a package 100 years ago, Portsmouth, Dover & York Railways mail car 108 will ship your pumpkin back to the Visitor Center. Shipping your pumpkin like a package means you don't need to worry where to keep your new souvenir or about getting fresh paint on everything.

With your hands free and while you wait for the next trolley, you can try to win some prizes playing games at our fall carnival. Once you've scored the prizes you're after, continue your streetcar ride to Talbott Park and then enjoy roaming the Museum grounds. Don't forget to stop by the receiving area before you head home to match your claim tickets to get your pumpkin.
